Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, ensuring timely progress through the legal process from initial intake to settlement or litigation.
- Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and answering questions regarding their case status, treatment, and legal process.
- Documentation & Records: Maintain detailed and organized case files, ensuring all documentation, medical records, bills, and correspondence are accurately recorded and up to date.
- Liaison Role: Coordinate with medical professionals, experts, and insurance adjusters to collect necessary documentation, reports, and information to support the client’s claim.
- Case Strategy Support: Assist attorneys in gathering evidence, reviewing medical records, and preparing for settlement negotiations or trial.
- Insurance Claims: Work with insurance companies to track the status of claims, ensure proper coverage, and facilitate the resolution of claims.
- Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients by ensuring they receive the appropriate medical care and services during their recovery process.
- Negotiations: Assist in preparing clients for settlement negotiations and work with legal teams to recommend potential settlement offers.
- Compliance: Ensure that all case management practices comply with legal standards and company policies, maintaining confidentiality and protecting client information.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in personal injury case management, insurance claims, or a related field. Prior experience in law firms, medical offices, or insurance companies is highly preferred.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree or higher in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of personal injury law and medical terminology.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and case management software.
